It feels like forever since Republic of Doyle‘s explosive Season 3 finale (pun intended) that left us shocked about the identity of Tinny’s father, had us mourning the loss of a certain vehicle and anxiously waiting to know the fate of one Des Courtney. The action continues this weekend with Republic of Doyle‘s highly anticipated Season 4 premiere, and this lucky gal got to chat with stars Allan Hawco and Krystin Pellerin about what’s in store!
Here are some highlights from our conversation:
- We’ll be meeting some of Jake’s family from Ireland. In fact, actor Angus Macfadyen (who we last saw causing trouble as Nicholas Quinn on Chuck) is playing Jake’s maternal uncle
- We’re going to see a shocking side of Leslie Bennett this season (as Krystin worded it, she’ll be going to a “pretty dark and exciting place”)
- There are some cool twists coming up for Tinny on her journey to learn more about her father
- Blowing up the GTO was a difficult moment for Allan, and he describes that it “felt like something wrong was happening”
- Allan Hawco enjoys giving me heart failure on whether Des will be back or not.
