We’re five hours away from Season 6 of Archer, and up next we have a clip featuring Jessica Walter (Malory Archer) and Adam Reed (series creator and the voice of Ray). They gave us some great teases, including upcoming missions and guest stars!
Walter said that her character does love her little granddaughter, but wants Abbiejean’s name changed to — you guessed it — Malory. There’s a new boss, Agent Slater from the CIA (voiced by Christian Slater), so Malory has to learn how to work with others.
Reed teased that the gang will be heading out on missions once again, and there are plans to hit Argentina, the Swiss Alps, Area 51, and even venture inside the human body. We’re also going to meet Lana’s parents.
When asked if Abbiejean will end up on any missions, Reed told us that yes, it will happen, especially when Archer’s supposed to get a sitter and doesn’t. Reed also shared that the original plan for Season 6 was for everyone to be in prison; they scrapped that idea because of the success of Orange Is the New Black, and they didn’t want to look like copycats. He did tease a couple of guest stars for the season: Kumail Nanjiani, and Allison Tolman.
Season 6 of Archer begins tonight at 10 ET/PT on FX in the US, and on Teletoon in Canada!
