[Warning: General spoilers ahead.]
Last week’s Slasher dispatched a pair of victims — June and Trent — who had a connection to the disappearance of Heather’s daughter (called it!) and a secrety secret love affair (didn’t call it!).
We also started to get a queasy feeling about Dylan when he was just a scoche too eager to throw his wife under the bus by bringing Tom a lock of her hair in exchange for an exclusive interview. I have my theories on that, which we can round back to later on if they pan out. And we found out Dylan had written letters to Tom that predated his marriage to Sarah, which Tom calls him out on.
Tonight, Dylan’s world gets increasingly complicated when a big city Nancy Grace-type (Enuka Okuma) pits him against Alison, leading each of them to up the ante with each other and cross various moral lines, and you can guess what that leads to.
Sarah’s busy working with Robin to try to prove Alan’s up to something, but it’s not what she’s expecting, and Cam is furious at her and in general for a variety of reasons.
We do round back to Ariel’s disappearance in a super creepy but not necessarily shocking, and not Executioner (yet) way that explains a lot about the state of the town’s checks and balances, and certainly would give Heather all sorts of justification if she were The Executioner, but she’s not tall enough — and I’m pretty sure it’s a dude.
With only three episodes left after tonight, we find out that The Executioner is not the only skeeve in town, and that everybody has secrets — even if they don’t clock in as a deadly sin. Things are getting good, and complicated, and weird. I am so digging this show.
