Casting for CW’s Secret Circle pilot has begun, and Britt Robertson has been attached to an unnamed role, giving her a back-up plan if her current series, Life Unexpected, isn’t renewed.
EW’s Inside TV broke the news this afternoon, stating:
The casting is in “second position” to Robertson’s starring role on Life Unexpected, which is on the bubble for renewal.
Speculation is that she’ll be the show’s protagonist, Cassie.
I wasn’t a fan of Robertson on Life Unexpected, but I’m open to seeing her in other roles. Then again, I really didn’t like Ksenia Solo on LUX either, but I absolutely adore her on Lost Girl. Perhaps the supernatural genre will be kind to Robertson as it’s been to Solo.
This brings up a couple of issues: is Britt Robertson a good fit for the role of Cassie; and would you rather see her return as Lux in Life Unexpected rather than in Secret Circle?
