Robot Chicken at New York Comic Con

I’m not going to lie, I watch Robot Chicken nearly every night before bed. Most nights, there are 2 back-to-back episodes, and some nights, I get sucked in to the all-night marathons! Even if I’ve already seen an episode a few times before, I’ll still watch it. So it’s pretty clear that I’m really looking forward to its 5th season.

I kicked off my first day at New York Comic Con with the Robot Chicken panel, which featured Seth Green, Matthew Senreich, Clare Grant, and guest star from upcoming episodes, Macaulay Culkin.

There’s video of most of the Q&A, but as for the sneak preview they gave us of Robot Chicken Star Wars III, the Robot Chicken Christmas special, and Season 5 of the series, here is just a bit of what to look forward to (SPOILER ALERT):

-A very inappropriate but oh so funny hot dog and mustard sketch

-Macaulay Culkin reprising his role as Kevin McAllister and spoofing on Home Alone

-A showdown between Santa Claus and Superman in which Santa refers to Supe as “Blue Balls” and Supe calls the surly old elf “St Dick”.

-Willy Wonka’s school of dance, where he berates an uncoordinated Oompa Loompa.

-Voldemort decides he wants a nose job

The upcoming specials, both due this December, and Season 5, slated for January 2011, look to be filled with a lot of the same pop culture laden laughs that fans of the show adore. We should expect to see some never before tackled characters, and making this season even more special – it will feature the 100th episode!
