‘Rectify’ Season 3 Coming in July

Season 3 of SundanceTV‘s critically-acclaimed, Peabody Award-winning series Rectify is set to begin on Thursday, July 9 at 10pm ET/PT.

And if you haven’t started watching this masterpiece of a series yet (seriously, this is one of the best out there), Seasons 1 and 2 will be shown in their entirety during the “Binge on the Fourth of July: The Rectify DVR Marathon,” beginning on Saturday, July 4 at 2:00pm ET/PT on SundanceTV. In addition, AMC, SundanceTV’s sister network, will be running a late-night marathon of both seasons during the week of June 15.

For those just discovering the series, here’s the official synopsis:

Rectify follows the life of Daniel Holden, who returns to his small hometown in Georgia after serving 19 years on death row. Having spent his entire adult life waiting to die, Daniel must now try to find a way to cope with his past and forge a “normal” life with a future before him. Daniel, who is still struggling with adapting to the routine aspects of modern life, affects everyone whom he comes in contact with from his very fractured family, to those working to protect him and those working against him on the side of law and order, and those in his hometown who never knew him, but now, upon his return, curiously seek complicated adult relationships with him.

Season 3 picks up immediately following the events of the Season 2 finale. Here’s a teaser:

Canadian viewers can watch the first two seasons on Netflix Canada, which should also be offering the third season in conjunction with the US air dates as they have in previous seasons.
