Coroner Preview: “Round and Round”

[General spoilers ahead.]

On a new Coroner, Jenny’s favor to Clark pays dividends when it intersects with a new overdose case that may not be as straightforward as it seems. Donovan takes a hooky day for the first time in forever, and Liam discovers that his rehab stint did pay off; it just took a winding road to get there.

Jenny’s still navigating Ross’s close call, but he’s in and out in the intro and seemingly OK, if a little reserved. She’s soon back on the clock when she’s called to an overdose scene, and rather than rubberstamp it, she digs a little deeper. When she finds an unexpected clue related to Clark’s case, she partners up with him to investigate a recovery group, and realizes that there might be more to Clark, too.

Donovan spends his day off with Kirima and embraces his playful side while also letting her chip away a little bit at his walls about his illness. Liam readies to leave the rehab and offers to take his therapy horse to his forever home, but the drive hits a snag, and he has to dig deep to recognize that his demons don’t own him, and he can summon that strength he needs when it’s not just about him.
