Coroner Preview: “Blue Flock”

[Warning: General spoilers ahead.]

This Wednesday on Coroner, Jenny and Donovan are called out to work on a particularly challenging case that goes beyond their usual life and death evaluations to consider the afterlife. This hits close to home for Donovan, who spends more time with the victim’s widow that would be usual, trying to understand her unique perspective on what’s next for her husband.

Jenny, meanwhile, is juggling Liam’s spontaneous return the morning after her equally spontaneous hook up with Clark, and that doesn’t get any easier as the day progresses. She navigates that sea of awkward by digging into her case.

The decedent is Xavier Lorde (Clyde Whitman), the husband of renowned filmmaker, Olivia Rice (Yanna McIntosh), and an esteemed scientist in his own right. He dies under peculiar circumstances and when his daughter, Lillium (Christie Stewart), arrives and accuses her stepmother of nefarious intent to speed up a transition to cryogenic stasis, things get very interesting.

Ross and Gordon have an interesting day, too, when the latter’s hallucinations start to change and Ross decides to do something about it. And Donovan and Jenny finally crack a bottle of wine and talk about how stressful their off-the-clock hours have become.
