Happy TVD Thursday everyone!
The Vampire Diaries returns tonight for its fifth season, and to help you get through the hours until the opener, “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” here’s a little chat with Candice Accola from San Diego Comic-Con this past summer. You can watch the full clip below (she is one funny lady!) but here are some highlights:
- Caroline doesn’t know about Klaus’ situation with Hayley and the baby. She mentioned that they left the Klaus/Caroline relationship open-ended and that there’s always a chance they’ll end up together, but at this point, there’s an “obvious separation” between them
- there’s opportunity for crossover between TVD and The Originals, but that’s not in the cards at the moment.
- Candice thinks that being able to see into the afterlife through Bonnie is going to open up a “very interesting world”
- at the start of the season, Caroline is focused on starting her new life with Tyler, and going to college
- she wasn’t sure if she’d be able to pick up on Stefan not really being Stefan. When the season begins, Caroline hasn’t seen Stefan in a while
- she shared that Caroline is “officially settled into who she is as a vampire.”
The Season 5 premiere of The Vampire Diaries airs tonight at 8/7c on The CW.
