This morning, Syfy announced the cast of upcoming series Dark Matter, and there are more than a few familiar names on the list, including Lost Girl‘s Zoie Palmer!
Lost Girl and Witches of East End fans will also rejoice at the casting of Anthony Lemke. Rounding out the cast are Melissa O’Neil, Marc Bendavid, Alex Mallari Jr., Jodelle Ferland, and Roger Cross.
Based on the graphic novel by Joseph Mallozzi and Paul Mullie and published by Dark Horse Comics, Dark Matter is a 13-episode series about a “crew of a derelict spaceship [that] is awakened from stasis with no memories of who they are or how they got on board. Facing threats at every turn, they have to work together to survive a voyage charged with vengeance, betrayal and hidden secrets.”
The series was created by Mallozzi and Mullie and developed by Prodigy Pictures (Lost Girl, XIII), who will begin production in Toronto on January 7, 2015.

Will this be like Lost Girl – shown first in Canada and only later by SyFy? Because I’m definitely going to be watching. I loved Anthony Lemke on Lost Girl, and well, Zoie Palmer is just the best.
SyFy will most likely air Dark Matter here in the US before it airs in Canada since it’s actually a US show not Canadian like Lost Girl. We should at least get it at the same time if not before Canada.
