Another San Diego Comic-Con has come and gone, but we’re only just starting to share all of our great content! Once again, I kicked off my SDCC press rooms with the fantastic cast of Wilfred … and first up, I’ve got video featuring the very talented and funny Jason Gann. Here are some highlights:
– Jason has a great friendship with Elijah Wood on and off screen. Although they may not hang out, when they’re together, he says Elijah is like family and it’s because of Elijah that Jason feels he can really push the boundaries with this series.
– He mentioned that he’d be happy if Wilfred were to become more like Scooby Doo, solving mysteries every week. In fact, there are some “caper” episodes this season (including tonight’s “Intuition”). Who wouldn’t love a bit of Scooby and Shaggy for grown ups?!?
– Season 2 was very dark, so there was a conscious decision to bring back what is funniest about the series for Season 3. As with all series, they filmed more than what we saw, and it was often the funny stuff that was cut in Season 2 so they could delve more into the story. Season 3 will still explore some dark territory, but there won’t be a “barrage” of it.
