ONE. MORE. SLEEP!
Yes, the Sons of Anarchy Season 6 premiere is tomorrow night, and as the countdown nears its end, here’s a clip featuring Katey Sagal from their press room at SDCC 2013.
I rarely get starstruck, but I have to admit that I was in awe during this round table. This is a woman that I’ve watched on TV and listened to her music since I was a kid. It was definitely one of those moments that I had to practically pinch myself to make sure I was really there.
Before jumping into the video, here are a few highlights:
– Although Paris Barclay teased a resolution to the conflict between Gemma and Tara, Sagal mentioned that it’s not something they’ll get into right away.
– Gemma is in a better place at the start of the season. Clay’s in jail, she has a wonderful man in her life, Nero, her son is President, and she has her grandbabies. She is also in better standing with Jax. In a way, she’s getting everything she wants.
– Gemma’s goal is to keep the club together, and doesn’t care how that happens.
– The relationship between Gemma and Nero definitely brings out something different in her character. Sagal said that Gemma’s love for Nero is “a sweeter love” and not destructive like her relationship with Clay. She also added that Gemma may be cutthroat, but she has a big heart.
The Sons of Anarchy Season 6 premiere finally arrives tomorrow at 10pm ET/PT on FX in the US and on Super Channel in Canada!
