Two weeks out from Christmas, there’s no shortage of holiday programming across the dial and on streaming, with various offerings populating W Network, Super Channel Heart & Home, CTV, Netflix, Hulu, and more. This morning, CBC Gem dropped a new entry into the mix with The Christmas Checklist, a two-part miniseries/movie that gets its linear premiere Tuesday and Wednesday night at 8 pm ET on CBC.
Headlined by Sarah Power (Good Witch and Killjoys) and Jarod Joseph (The 100) and filmed last summer in Montreal, the four-hour drama was written by Lisa Hepner and directed by Anne De Léan
Here’s what to expect:
Emily (Power) is faced with the daunting task of fulfilling her late mother Ruby’s last wish – a 12-task Christmas checklist. With local freelance writer Noah (Joseph) covering her compelling story, his article turns from inspiring to cherished just in time for Christmas Eve, as their journey together reveals that Ruby’s final wish has been in front of them the whole time.
The Christmas Checklist is streaming now on CBC Gem and premieres Tuesday and Wednesday at 8 pm ET o n CBC. Here’s a sneak peek. [As of press time, there’s no US outlet for a 2022 airing].
