[Warning: General spoilers ahead.]
On the penultimate Season 2 episode of Pretty Hard Cases, our heroines are a bit rudderless without their badges but luckily their squad has their back, stepping in to investigate and follow leads they cannot.
That makes for a very funny “bad at being off” scene as the two try and fail to compartmentalize some me time.
As we saw last week, Brad’s tied to Adeline, and the rest of that arc plays out as other suspicions arise and Gabrielle has to explain some previous inconsistencies.
Edwina gets her swagger — and her job and desk — back thanks to a very unlikely assist.
Richie starts his new job and panics when he realizes it’s not exactly what he expected.
Adeline’s determination to get out of dodge puts Judy in peril, which tips an already precariously perched Sam into a full-blown panic that forces her to cross some lines.
And then we learn who’s been moving all the chess board pieces this season, which should resolve in next week’s finale.
Sherry White & Carina Samuels wrote the episode, directed by: Gail Harvey.
