Which Recipe Will Be Crowned the “Petrova Fire”? Vote Now!

Our TVD-inspired drinks contest is now closed, and we need your help in selecting the recipe that best embodies the “Petrova Fire”!

Read each recipe, and then vote for your favourite in the poll below! The top three recipes will be posted tomorrow before the new episode of Vampire Diaries airs so that you can sample them and pick a winner. We’ll crown our victor on Saturday!

Here are your selections:

Tash’s recipe
1.25 oz. Patron Tequila
1 splash of cranberry juice
1 splash Grenadine
1 splash of orange juice
1/2 tsp of Cayenne Pepper

Combine ingredients over a glass of ice. Add lime wedge and cherry for glass decorations. Enjoy

*Warning* Your mouth may burn just a little!

Suzikabg’s recipe
Rakiq (special bulgarian alcohol) or vodka
Black cherry liqueur
Crushed ice
Top with mint (or vervain)

Will look like blood and smell fresh!

Erin’s recipe
1/3 shot absinthe (for the mind-bending kick in the ass you didn’t see coming)
1/3 shot tequila (for the bad girl in us all)
1/3 shot vodka (for a razor sharp edge)

No ice, straight up, and make sure you brought your game face. This drink takes no prisoners.

Deacon’s recipe
In a highball glass mix:
Crushed ice
1oz vodka
1oz Red sour puss
Splash of grenadine
Fill with cran-pineapple juice
Drop bits of flesh from a blood orange on top.

Put on some fake fangs and try to drink it!

Jennie’s recipe
1/4 c silver tequila
1/2 tbsp lime juice
1/4 c triple sec
2-3 tbsp of blood orange juice
2 slices seeded serrano or jalapeno peppers (more or less to taste)

Combine in shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Flame an orange peel, rub around the rim, and serve in the drink as a garnish. (In short, a spicy blood orange margarita.)

Dorota’s recipe
1/4 shot absinthe
1/4 shot vodka
Add some lemon juice, Red Bull, teaspoon of sugar and crushed ice
Sprinkle with some vervain and decorate with vervain leaf

SexyVamp’s recipe
1 oz vodka (or citrus vodka, if you have it)
1/2 oz Cointreau orange liqueur
3 oz pomegranate juice (can also substitute cranberry juice)
chopped ice
1/4 teaspoon lemon juice

Shake for 20 sec and then pour your drink will be deep red and bloody just like Katherine likes it. YOU can garnish the rim with sugar, but that woudn’t be Katherine’s style.

My Favorite Martini, deep red in color, very bloody looking, totally Katherine.

Mel’s recipe
1 1/2 oz sloe gin
1 1/2 oz Southern Comfort
1 1/2 oz vodka
1 1/2 oz gin (Tanqueray or bust)
5 oz orange juice
Top off with a splash of Galliano

Build over ice in a tall glass. Stir. Add grenadine if you see Klaus.

Amy’s recipe
2 parts vodka (Balkan 176°)
2 parts pomegranate juice

Blood red, lip puckering tart.
