At long last, the Droughtlander ends tonight with the Season 4 premiere of Outlander!
This season, Claire and Jamie find themselves in colonial America. Claire knows a revolution is on the horizon and doesn’t want to endure another Culloden. They contemplate finding a way home to Scotland, but the fates have other plans.
In tonight’s premiere, “America the Beautiful,” Jamie and Claire cross paths with a pirate, Stephen Bonnet, while saying farewell to a friend at the gallows. The kind-hearted Frasers help the charming smuggler escape the authorities, but they don’t exactly get the thank you they deserve.
The couple decides to give America a try, and build a home in North Carolina. But first, they are off to visit Jamie’s Aunt Jocasta Cameron, played by the phenomenal Maria Doyle Kennedy.
The season is off to an action-packed and heartbreaking start, and I cannot wait to see what else is in store as Claire and Jamie learn about the dark side of the “American Dream.”
