[Warning: General spoilers ahead.]
Tuesday night on Motive, it’s guest stars a-go-go with Will Sasso in a seriously dramatic turn joined by Tahmoh Penikett, The Romeo Section‘s Eugene Lipinski, Bates Motel‘s Paloma Kwiatkowski, and one of my faves, former series regular, Warren Christie, popping back in.
Penikett plays the bad boy this time out — who turns up in Vancouver after a stint in prison for smuggling, and his trip home doesn’t go so well. The team investigates that and has their share of personal business to attend to a Paula’s continually distracted, Lucas is tempted to break protocol, and Angie’s new car smell doesn’t last as long as she’d hoped.
Cross returns in the most unexpectedly delightful way that I will not spoil for you except to say it is full of awesome. There’s also a fun, familiar throwback to Men in Trees (which I am still waiting to turn up somewhere — DVD, Hulu, Netflix. ANYWHERE). It’s a really strong episode, and another one where I was off on the motive. Go, show!
Motive airs Tuesdays at 10/9c on CTV in Canada. As a reminder, Season 4 is also airing in the U.S. on USA Network every Sunday at 10/9c.
