Josh Holloway has been cast as the lead in USA Network‘s pilot, Colony. Holloway will be playing Will Bowman, “a former FBI agent who — to protect his family — is forced to collaborate with the occupational government to bring down the growing resistance movement inside the Los Angeles colony.”
Written and executive produced by Carlton Cuse and Ryan Conda, Colony has become a sort of Lost reunion, bringing Holloway and Cuse back together.
If you haven’t heard about this series yet, here’s the official synopsis:
COLONY, set in 2015, follows characters living in Los Angeles which exists in a state of occupation. Some collaborate with the authorities and benefit from the new order, while others rebel and suffer the consequences. COLONY is a naturalistic drama about a family torn by those opposing forces, making difficult choices as they balance keeping their family together with surviving the struggle of the human race.
Holloway’s last TV series, Intelligence, was cancelled after one season. I think that joining forces with Cuse can only be a good thing, since Bates Motel and The Strain have both been a success.
