Coroner Preview: “Our Home on Native Land”

[Warning: General spoilers ahead.]

Thursday’s new Coroner takes a stand on the homelessness epidemic with an episode that finds the team investigating the death of one of the residents of a park encampment. As they dig in, the discover that the city had a role in the death.

While Jenny reaches out for help from the Crown, there’s a second death and then the case has a couple of different crimes going on in tandem.

River gets out of the morgue and becomes an asset in the investigation, helping the team connect to the community where she volunteers.  Ross dips a toe back into city life but is still firmly grounded in being the rock for his family.

As Peggy struggles to correct Gordon’s error with his money, we see her start to buckle a bit under the weight of all the things and reveal her own fears about being back in the family. Saying right now that Jennifer Dale will be nominated for a CSA next year for her performance here.
