Jenny will see you and raise you on your most awkward Thanksgiving ever with this Monday’s new Coroner. [Updated 8/4/20: Beginning 8/5/20, Coroner will air Wednesdays at 9 pm ET on The CW in the U.S.]
[Warning: General spoilers ahead.]
The first holiday as a widow is already potentially awful on its own merits. When Jenny and Ross are joined by Alison, Gordon, her mother-in-law, Muna (Arsinée Khanjian), and college roommate, Sabrina (Jeananne Goossen), it’s a full house. And that’s not even including the problem percolating beneath the house that turns Liam’s plumbing house call into a brand new case.
McAvoy spends his holiday with human rights activist Greer Townsend (Mary Kills People‘s Grace Lynn Kung) when concerns about an old case weigh on him. Dwayne and River hold down the morgue and stumble into a case of their own.
Jenny does her best to hold it all together (hence the title) while her professional and personal lives collide under a familial microscope, succeeding and failing in equal measure.
The emotionally tense episode also gives us a glimpse of the childhood tragedy that haunts her. Winnifred Jong directs a script by Noelle Carbone, who also wrote last week’s Cardinal.
Coroner airs Monday night at 9pm ET/9:30 NT on CBC and streams online on CBC Gem. Also, in case you missed it, Coroner is officially a hit! [Updated 8/4/20: Beginning 8/5/20, Coroner will air Wednesdays at 9 pm ET on The CW in the U.S.]
