Caffeine – June 19th Edition

Happy Father’s Day to all dads who might be reading this! Here’s your news for the week . . .

The Killing has been renewed.

Hobgoblin, the WWII magician/con man pilot from Ayelet Waldman and Michael Chabon, will be directed by Darren Aronofsky. This is pretty much my new favorite show already.

Starz has picked up new series Noir, which is a live-action version of an anime series about female assassins. Interesting.

Entourage wants to cast Anthony Weiner. So there’s that.

Glee news: people will, in fact, graduate, since they’re in high school and all. There will be new students coming in to replace them. They’ve also added some new writers.

The USA Network buddy cop pilot Common Law is looking likely. It has pretty boys and is, you know, a USA show, so I am in favor.

This week in “Shows I Already Know I won’t Watch”: HBO is developing The Viagra Diaries.

More as the Story Develops adds John Gallagher, Jr., Thomas Sadoski, Josh Pence.

Over/Under will star Caroline Dhaveras.

Powers adds Bailee Madison.

Prime Suspect adds Elizabeth Rodriguez.

Guest stars!
