In Episode 2 of Bellevue, Annie continues her journey down the rabbit hole of riddles and red herrings as she faces more clues about Jesse’s disappearance, seemingly with no regard for her own personal safety.
The investigation also leads to Jesse’s classmates, who proffer different scenarios bout the night Jesse vanished and variable degrees of guilt and shade about their involvement in trying to shame/fix/punish.
We also get a little more background on Maggie and her ties to the church, and Virginia, who shares something with a witness in the hopes it will lead to more open conversation. She’s not wrong.
Annie leans on Eddie, to a point, as she still navigates that her suspect threatened her daughter, something Welland takes equally personally. The episode moves things forward at a surprising, and welcome pace.
Bellevue airs Mondays at 9pm on CBC. Here are a couple of sneak peeks.
