When Beauty and the Beast was renewed last May, I was pleased for all involved but a little concerned about where we would go from here since I felt like the back nine episodes of the first season became a different show, and then the season finale literally tore Vincent away from Cat and dropped the bombshell that her dad wasn’t her dad–FBI agent creepy was. Well, it looks like season two might bring us a third different incarnation of sorts.
When we pick up in the premiere, three months have passed and Cat, with JT’s help, has been looking for Vincent to no avail. In the first few minutes of the episode, we also learn new things about Gabe, Cat’s (original) dad, and Tess and Joe. Once we dispense with those particulars, the hunt is on, and then there’s a twist. Because there’s always a twist.
“Who Am I?” airs tonight at 8 pm E/7 C on Showcase in Canada and tomorrow night at 9 pm E/8 C on The CW in the US. I’ll be back Tuesday with a recap, and I’d love to hear what you think, too. Here are a couple of sneak peeks to get you ready!
