Fans of Castle, rejoice! At the Winter TCA Press Tour today, ABC announced that our favorite crime-solving novelist and his buddies will be coming back for a fourth season in the fall. We didn’t really think the show was in danger, but the earlier-than-usual renewal is great news for a few reasons in addition to the obvious (more Castle!). First, it means that the network believes in the show and is supporting it, which is always good to see. And second, it gives the writers the security they need to continue developing the plot and characters the way they want to, without worrying about leaving loose ends when season three comes to a close. Rick Castle himself put it best on his @WriteRCastle Twitter account: “Woke up feeling good today. Feel like I received a real pick-me-up.” Indeed!
