The Doctor Who 50th Anniversary celebrations are in full swing as we anxiously await Saturday’s worldwide television event, “Day of the Doctor.” Before the anniversary special airs, we’re going back to where it all began with the biopic on the first man who commandeered the TARDIS, William Hartnell, in An Adventure in Space and Time.
This clip from San Diego Comic-Con features writer Mark Gatiss, and star David Bradley, who bears an uncanny resemblance to Hartnell. I have to say that Bradley comes across as a sweet, grandfatherly man, despite the odious TV and film roles that he is best known for, and everyone was commenting on how nice it’s going to be to see him in a more loveable role, including Mark Gatiss. And of course there’s a precursory joke about Bradley’s lack of wedding invitations following his turn on Game of Thrones 😉
