In news I did not see coming at all, the Lost Girl team has announced that the series will end after a super-sized fifth season.

Lost Girl has meant the world to me since it started. I’ve loved covering every moment of it, and some of my fondest memories as a writer and journalist include set visits, interviews and panels with this awesome cast.
As sad as I will be to say goodbye to Lost Girl after the upcoming season, I am always grateful when a show gets a proper ending versus just being straight out cancelled.

Their epic, 16-episode final season will be split into two parts. The first half begins on Sunday December 7th at 9pm ET/PT on Showcase.
