The Season 4 premiere of Vikings is set for February 18, but today History has unveiled Vikings: A World Revealed, a digital experience that takes you on a virtual tour of this world and what goes into producing the series.
It’s described as an “immersive digital destination for all things Vikings including virtual tours of the set with cast members and a behind the scenes look at props, hair, makeup, costumes, weaponry and more.”
Here’s an overview of the experience:
- Take a tour of The Great Hall with Alyssa Sutherland (Aslaug).
- Go inside Wessex Chamber with Travis Fimmel (Ragnar) and Linus Roache (King Ecbert)
- Check out The Courtyard with Moe Dunford (Aethelwulf).
- See Kattegat Village with Katheryn Winnick (Lagertha).
During each tour, there are little pop-up videos that you can click on, giving you 360 degree views, and taking you even further behind the scenes into hair and makeup, the director’s chair, the intricate props, weapons and so much more. Once that clip is finished, you can resume your tour. There’s also a comprehensive library of images, maps, and other items to obsess over until the season premiere!
We’re excited to share a preview of the site with you, featuring Katheryn Winnick’s tour of Kattegat:
