Kris Holden-Ried is heading to Kattegat for Season 5 of Vikings!
History and Corus Entertainment made the casting announcement earlier today. Holden-Ried will be playing the role of Eyvind, “an important warrior in Kattegat who decides to travel and settle his family in a new land.”
My first reaction: YAY!
My second reaction: How on earth did this not happen sooner?!? Talk about the perfect person to be on Vikings!
Since the conclusion of Lost Girl, Holden-Ried has been busy working on his directorial debut, The Epitaph, and developing a TV series based on an internationally acclaimed trilogy. Most recently, he appeared on Season 2 of Syfy/Space series Dark Matter as Inspector Kierken.
Season 5 of Vikings is currently in production in Ireland and Canada, and will air in 2017. Season 4B begins November 30th, moving to a new day and time, Wednesdays at 9pm.
