Following on the heels of making a U.S. home for Bomb Girls and XIII, Reelz Channel has added another Canadian TV import, King (which ran for 21 episodes over two seasons on Showcase) to its roster. Airing Fridays (beginning last week), King is an hourlong semi-procedural that follows the title character, Jessica King, a Toronto homicide detective newly promoted to a task force, while she balances a successful career with a less successful home life as she and her husband try to start a family and realize nature isn’t cooperating.
Amy Price-Francis stars as Jessica, and U.S. audiences will recognize her from roles on 24, The Cleaner, and The Chicago Code. Here’s a sneak peek of “T-Bone,” which airs tomorrow at 10 pm E/9 C.
