On this week’s Private Eyes, Angie and Shade are called in on a missing body case for a local mortuary and the seemingly easily wrapped-up case becomes something else entirely, dovetailing into a really lovely, sweet story about family.
[Warning: General spoilers ahead.]
Concurrent with the case, Shade is working on a blowout bash for Jules’s 15th birthday when he realizes that maybe the party isn’t happening for the right reasons. The soiree also opens doors in his still-new relationship with Mel as they sort out whether she should come.
Angie is settling into whatever it is she’s restarted with Dr. Ken and then gets an awakening that maybe a little definition setting wouldn’t hurt. Zoe receives an existential kick in the butt from scanning the obituaries, which prompts her to build out a dream board and gifts us with Samantha Wan in the most authentic scene of unbridled joy that I’ve seen in a very, very long time.
The guest cast include Rachel Wilson (Republic of Doyle), Michelle Monteith (Saving Hope and Bitten), Dylan Trowbridge (Rogue), Richard Fitzpatrick (Bomb Girls and American Gothic), and Shawn Piller’s Bernese Mountain Dog, Sloan, in a second appearance this season.
Private Eyes airs Thursdays at 8/7c on Global TV. If you’ve missed an episode, you can catch up online at Global’s website.
