[Warning: General spoilers ahead.]
Hey there, y’all! Are you ready for the next new Slasher: Ripper? The mystery continues Thursday on Shudder in the U.S. and Hollywood Suite in Canada with episode three, which brings our fearless detective face to face with The Widow. Already? Yes, indeed.
Garvey and an increasingly coked out Kashtinsky start to concern themselves with past misdeeds, which we start to see via flashbacks with the ripper victim from 12 years earlier, Margaret, and the cast of characters she came into contact with back then.
Those clues send Rijkers to talk to Regina and have a look around her late husband’s study. And that’s not all. Elsewhere, Dr. Israel finds out what the Botticelli sisters are capable of regarding their new arrival, Rondeau has a proposition for Regina and later tangles with Garvey’s henchman, Eddie (gifting is with the most delicious cackle), and Andrew and Terrence debate good vs. evil and penance vs. vengeance related to the murders so far.
It’s another fast-moving episode, written by Ian Carpenter and Aaron Martin and directed by Adam MacDonald, that starts to layer past with present and tease out more of the mystery and possible motive.
