Sunday night’s Mary Kills People finds Mary, Des, and Jess in precarious positions that will likely ricochet all season.
[Warning: General spoilers ahead.]
First up, Mary is rattled by an unexpected visit from Frances, who also proffers a startling request before tipping her hand about last week’s incident. That sends Mary on a bit of an introspective ramble that pulls her away from Joy’s at the worst possible time and toward some unfinished business.
Left to fend for himself, Des fumbles badly with one patient and makes a poor choice with another. Both things raise Nicole’s ire toward him and Mary and lead her to an interesting conversation with Cambie.
Jess is plagued by her renewed acquaintance with Naomi and their shenanigans last week. And Ben’s interest is piqued enough by his conversation with the new detective that he does some personal and professional reconnaissance.
Jane Maggs, who we adore from Bellevue (and who’s also been writing on Little Dog and Anne with an E) wrote the script directed by Norma Bailey.
Mary Kills People airs Sundays at 8pm ET/PT on Global TV. Seasons 1 and 2 and last week’s premiere are streaming now on Global TV’s website and Global GO.
