It’s official — Killjoys will return for a second season!
Space announced the Season 2 order today in advance of their Fan Expo Canada panel this weekend in Toronto. It will also be back on Syfy for fans in the U.S.
Killjoys was Space’s most-watched original series of all time, so although a renewal was likely, many fans were still a bit nervous.
Returning are Hannah John-Kamen as Dutch, the “cunning and deadly assassin with a fierce dedication to her killjoy family,” Aaron Ashmore as John, “the witty tech wizard with a vulnerable heart,” and Luke Macfarlane as D’avin, “a former soldier and John’s hot-headed brother whose quick-tempered decisions often land him in precarious situations.”
Bell Media’s Tracey Pearce (Head, Specialty and Pay) said, “It’s a testament to the excellence of Killjoys that the series gained more loyal viewers week after week in its debut season. We look forward to working with our partners at Temple Street Productions and Syfy to give our engaged, genre-loving viewers what they want in Season 2 – an expanded Killjoys universe.”
Production on the 10-episode second season begins this winter in Toronto. Killjoys will be back in 2016, date TBA.
