This final season of Fringe has been a nailbiter and a heartbreaker so far. In last week’s episode, Peter and Olivia lost their daughter Etta all over again. With a lot of viewers wondering if this will drive a wedge between Peter and Olivia as it had before they were ambered, there’s one certaintly – Peter being a father has changed his relationship with his dad, Walter.
Back at San Diego Comic-Con, Joshua Jackson spoke about Peter’s fatherhood altering the Peter/Walter relationship now that Peter can share the concerns that Walter had for his son. In this brief clip, Joshua talks about this shift in how Peter sees Walter, and also spoke about Peter’s journey in this final season – mainly that Peter wants to see Walter forgive himself for the “original sin” of the show, and that the end of Peter’s journey will be him knowing that Walter’s all right.
