This week, many of our TV favorites return, but we also welcome some new additions to the schedule. One of the Fall’s most anticipated series premieres is The Blacklist, airing tonight on NBC in the US and Global TV in Canada.
At the Global TV 2013 Upfront Presentation back in June, The Blacklist‘s Diego Klattenhoff teased a bit about the new series. Check out the clip below, but first, here are some highlights:
- With all of the buzz surrounding the series, he was not feeling any pressure. He said that everyone involved – writers, directors and cast – was excited by the possibilities.
- At that point, Klattenhoff didn’t know much about his character Donald Ressler’s back story, but they will get into more of that as the series progresses. He mentioned that he enjoys playing characters (much like Mike on Homeland) who are trying to do the right thing but get “knocked off that path.”
- He said that he thinks there’s a lot of suspicion on Ressler’s part about Agent Keen. She’s right out of Quantico and “as green as it gets,” yet she’s the only agent that the elusive “Red” Reddington will speak to.
