Hello and welcome to our first May edition of Caffeine!
NBC has surprised everyone and actually added Love Bites to the schedule! It will premiere on June 2.
Look, it’s the SyFy summer schedule!
Good news for CW fans: They’ve renewed The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, Gossip Girl and 90210.
Also renewed already: The Borgias.
NBC might make John Grisham’s The Firm into a series, because what the world needs now is more lawyer shows.
Ryan Murphy’s new pilot American Horror Story has cast Dylan McDermott as its male lead, playing Connie Britton’s husband. (He is not the same as Dermot Mulroney, in case anyone else tends to make that mistake.)
Lauren Stamile has landed a major recurring role on Burn Notice. Wheee! I loved what Matt Nix (BN creator) did with her on The Good Guys, so I’m excited.
Upcoming guest stars: Cynthia Nixon to Law & Order: CI; Ed Asner to Royal Pains; Kelli Giddish to The Good Wife. Meagan Good will recur on Californication.
Sorkin update! It still sounds like Marisa Tomei will be the female lead on More as the Story Develops, and Olivia Munn and Alison Pill are in negotiations for regular roles.
Does anyone watch TBS? I mean, apparently someone does. Anyway, they’ve ordered another Tyler Perry series.
Cote de Pablo has signed on for two more seasons of NCIS.
CSI is making Elisabeth Harnois a regular.
USA Network is developing a comedy with Kelsey Grammer. But it’s unclear whether Grammer himself would be in it.
I suppose I should mention this: Two and a Half Men may or may not continue, with or without Charlie Sheen. I can’t bring myself to actually link to any of the stories about this.
