Caffeine – March 13th Edition

Good morning. It’s somehow mid-March already, and so late spring and summer premiere dates are starting to trickle out. Doctor Who comes back to BBC America on April 23. TNT has set a bunch of dates, including June 1 for Franklin & Bash and June 19 for Falling Skies. HawthoRNe also comes back this summer, and Marc Anthony is now a regular. Law & Order: LA returns in April with a bunch of tweaks and cast changes. ABC Family has a new three-night schedule and some premiere dates, including June 6 for Switched at Birth and August 15 for The Lying Game.

Meanwhile, NBC has released a bunch of season finale dates. Community and Parks and Recreation both get hour-long finales!

My new personal most-anticipated series: Hobgoblin, from Michael Chabon and Ayelet Waldman, about magicians fighting Hitler. Seriously, I am SO EXCITED.

Sad news for fans of time travel and dinosaurs: Terra Nova won’t have a May preview after all. It’s been delayed until the fall.

Guest casting news: Jason Priestley is doing an arc on Haven, which returns in July. Big Love‘s Cassi Thomson is doing CSI: Miami. Gina Gallego will guest star on Grey’s Anatomy.

Today in unexpected new shows: Salman Rushdie is developing a drama with Showtime.

I Hate That I Love You will star Nick Thune.

Iceland will star Zach Gilford.

Identity will star Colin O’Donoghue.

Lost and Found has cast Jordana Spiro and Diana Maria Riva, and earned itself a place on my must-watch list because I love them both. Also: Josh Casaubon and Gary Clayton.

Larry Wilmore has joined another untitled comedy pilot.

That untitled supernatural medical drama has cast Afton Williamson.

The family-of-doctors untitled pilot adds Brad Morris.
