Caffeine – March 13th Edition

Good morning. It’s somehow mid-March already, and so late spring and summer premiere dates are starting to trickle out. Doctor Who comes back to BBC America on April 23. TNT has set a bunch of dates, including June 1 for Franklin & Bash and June 19 for Falling Skies. HawthoRNe also comes back this summer, and Marc Anthony is now a regular. Law & Order: LA returns in April with a bunch of tweaks and cast changes. ABC Family has a new three-night schedule and some premiere dates, including June 6 for Switched at Birth and August 15 for The Lying Game.

Meanwhile, NBC has released a bunch of season finale dates. Community and Parks and Recreation both get hour-long finales!

My new personal most-anticipated series: Hobgoblin, from Michael Chabon and Ayelet Waldman, about magicians fighting Hitler. Seriously, I am SO EXCITED.

Sad news for fans of time travel and dinosaurs: Terra Nova won’t have a May preview after all. It’s been delayed until the fall.

Guest casting news: Jason Priestley is doing an arc on Haven, which returns in July. Big Love‘s Cassi Thomson is doing CSI: Miami. Gina Gallego will guest star on Grey’s Anatomy.

Today in unexpected new shows: Salman Rushdie is developing a drama with Showtime.

A. Mann’s World adds Ellen Barkin, and wait, is there actually a period after A.? Huh. Also: Mario Cantone.

The Assistants adds Lamorne Morris.

Awakening adds Brian Hallisay and Titus Welliver.

Bent casts Margo Harshman and Jeffrey Tambor.

Cocaine Cowboys gets a new writer.

The Doctor casts Scott Foley, Kyle McLachlan, and Michael Boatman.

Don’t Trust the Bitch in Apt. 23 adds Eric Andre.

Exit Strategy adds Tom Sizemore and Lily Rabe.

Hail Mary adds Noureen DeWulf and Brandon T. Jackson.

Hallelujah has cast Donal Logue, Jesse L. Martin, Terry O’Quinn, and Arielle Kebbel. Oh, and Zoey Deutch. And Della Reese and Robbie Amell.

Hart of Dixie adds Cress Williams.

I Hate That I Love You will star Nick Thune.

Iceland will star Zach Gilford.

Identity will star Colin O’Donoghue.

Lost and Found has cast Jordana Spiro and Diana Maria Riva, and earned itself a place on my must-watch list because I love them both. Also: Josh Casaubon and Gary Clayton.

My Life As an Experiment will star Paget Brewster and Jon Dore.

Once Upon a Time adds Robert Carlyle and Raphael Sbarge. Also cast: Jennifer Morrison, Josh Dallas, Jamie Dornan, and Jared Gilmore. Do you think they have enough people with J names?

The River adds Shaun Parkes and Paul Blackthorne.

Rookies adds Terry Kinney.

Secret Circle finds another lead in Thomas Dekker.

S.I.L.A. will star Madchen Amick.

Smothered will star Brooke D’Orsay and also adds John C. McGinley and Adam Arkin.

Suburgatory adds Jeremy Sisto and Carly Chaikin, and Cheryl Hines.

Tagged adds Mel Rodriguez and Bret Ernst.

Vince Uncensored will star Michael Chiklis, which isn’t exactly great news for No Ordinary Family.

Weekends at Bellevue adds Eric Winter.

Wonder Woman adds Brett Tucker.

Work It adds Ben Koldyke and Kristin Eggers.

Workers Comp will star Morgan Fairchild. There are a bunch of other cast members at that link, and the lack of an apostrophe in the title is already driving me nuts.

One of the untitled comedies (the one with Sarah Paulson) has cast James Adomian and Tim Meadows.
Larry Wilmore has joined another untitled comedy pilot.

That untitled supernatural medical drama has cast Afton Williamson.

The family-of-doctors untitled pilot adds Brad Morris.
