Caffeine – July 31st Edition

Happy end of July! My birthday is on Sunday, and I’m taking the weekend off to visit with family, so I’m actually writing this on Friday and you’re reading it at … well, how would I know? Anyway, if any more news breaks over the weekend, I’ll catch you up on it next time.

So, this Glee stuff. When I told you last week that three actors would be leaving, that was, I swear, what everyone was reporting. The producers immediately backtracked and blamed journalists. Now it’s seems like no one’s leaving, but maybe there was going to be a spinoff, but now there isn’t, so who knows whether they’re staying? You should read this and then this and then draw your own conclusions, really.

This was a week for exits: Richard Hatem is out as EP of The Secret Circle, and showrunner Frank Darabont has stepped down at The Walking Dead. Glen Mazzara is taking over.

Barry Lyga’s upcoming novel I Hunt Killers is headed to TV.
