Earlier today, the ATX Television Festival unveiled its first wave of programming for 2015 — including reunions for Gilmore Girls, the Dawson’s Creek writing room, and gone but not forgotten Journeyman.
The Gilmore Girls reunion will include series stars Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel along with creator Amy Sherman-Palladino, and the announcement caused the ATX website to crash! I could barely form a coherent thought when Lauren Graham was a surprise guest at the 2014 Parenthood panel, I can’t wait to be there and savor every word she says this time around!
2015 will also mark the debut of ATX’s first Writers’ Room Reunion featuring Dawson’s Creek, with creator/showrunner Kevin Williamson, showrunner Greg Berlanti, and producers/writers/assistants Jenny Bicks, Julie Plec, Rob Thomas, Liz Tigelaar, Paul Stupin, Rina Mimoun, Maggie Friedman, Anna Fricke, and Dana Baratta scheduled to attend. As someone who is at times an even bigger fan of the people who write TV than the people who appear in it, I’m totally nerding out over this.
And the other announcement that excites me to no end is Journeyman, part of the “Cancelled Too Soon” series. I adored this series and its cancellation still bums me out to this day. Confirmed for this panel are series star Kevin McKidd, Producer/Creator Kevin Falls, and Director Alex Graves.
The festival takes place in Austin, TX from June 4 to 7, 2015, and The Televixen’s team is already planning our return! Will we see you there?
