Travelers Preview: U235

Travelers Showcase Netflix

The team tries to outmaneuver the Faction Monday night on a new episode of Travelers on Showcase.

[Warning: General spoilers ahead.]

Picking up in the moments following Jenny’s reveal that the virus is Faction-made and delivered, Marcy realizes she’s fighting an uphill battle while Grace throws out a Back to the Future-esque suggestion that might actually work if they can get ahead of the Faction on the chess board.

Grace gets tired of fighting Marcy for control and makes a move regarding Jenny. It doesn’t help that they also still have some leftover baggage to sort through about Marcy’s reset.

While the team sorts the plan, their various extended civilian families fight the virus. David witnesses its effects firsthand, Jeff grows increasingly worried that he can’t reach Carly as he and the baby worsen, and Kathryn’s condition starts to deteriorate amidst her concern about her baby.

It’s another hour that capitalizes on “you think you know, but you have no idea.” You have to marvel that the team can keep it all straight between what they know about what happened in the future vs. what could happen now, which is growing more fluid by the day. The episode was written by Ashley Park & Pat Smith. and directed by Andy Mikita.

Travelers airs Mondays at 9pm ET/PT on Showcase. You can catch up on the first five episodes of this season on Showcase’s website. Season 1 is running now in the U.S. on Netflix, with Season 2 arriving on 12/26. Here’s a sneak peek of “U235” (and a couple of episodes after that…).
