On this week’s penultimate episode of CTV’s limited series, The Disappearance, several more puzzle pieces fall into place in a multi-layered hour that weaves past and present to move the action forward.

The episode is surprisingly dialogue-light, but no less powerful as the score is used to fantastic effect. It even mimics a heartbeat in one extended sequence with a jaw-dropper of a reveal where different characters get information at different rates and bear witness with very different perspectives. So, so good.
I’m really enjoying this series and I can’t wait to see how it wraps up. Bell Media announced this week that audiences have responded with solid ratings for both CTV and CraveTV, which is awesome news for a homegrown show.
Here’s the formal logline of what to expect Sunday:
Henry enlists Fred’s help to decode the clues left by Anthony’s abductor while Catherine is troubled by her patient’s imminent death. Though the investigation is closing in on Stephen Price, Luke and Helen continue to look in to Henry’s past, believing it is connected to Anthony’s disappearance. Susan makes an important discovery and issues an Amber Alert.
