Sweet Streams: Fleabag

Today’s Sweet Streams pick is Fleabag, available on Amazon Prime Video in Canada and the U.S. Adapted from an award-winning play, the first season consists of six half-hour episodes, and premiered on Amazon in September 2016.

Check out the Season 1 trailer:

Written by and starring Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Crashing, Broadchurch), Fleabag is based on her acclaimed one-woman play about a young woman navigating life in London while dealing with grief, anger, family, and relationships. The humour is dry, sometimes crude, and often dark. It might even make you uncomfortable at times, but in the most invigorating way. As much as you’ll want to watch every episode in one sitting, this is one that you might want to savour because you’ll certainly be wanting more the moment it’s over.

Fleabag‘s ensemble cast is stellar, with Olivia Colman (The Night Manager, Broadchurch) as the biggest standout alongside Waller-Bridge.

You might like this if you can’t get enough of FXX’s You’re the Worst or Casual on Hulu. If you recently binged Love on Netflix, Fleabag would be an excellent follow-up.
