Private Eyes Preview: The P.I. Code

Private Eyes mines the Haven well this week as Bree Williamson (Season 3) begins her arc and William Shatner (Season 5) comes to play as Norm Glinski, a fellow P.I. and frenemy of Angie’s.

[Warning: General spoilers ahead.]

Shade and Angie are hired by a Crown prosecutor, Melanie Parker (Williamson), who enlists them to investigate potential jury tampering. In the course of finding out there’s nothing to report on that front, they learn some key intel that’s very important to both sides of Melanie’s high-profile murder case.

Glinksi gleefully irritates Angie until she buries the hatchet, temporarily, when she needs his help and he’s actually willing to give it. Don and Shona get friendly at the café, which begets good-natured bet-making from Jules, Shade, and an offscreen Becca on how fast the relationship might proceed.

The episode is directed by Shoot the Messenger‘s Sudz Sutherland and written by Derek Schreyere. The rest of the guest cast includes Ron Lea (Shoot the Messenger), Daiva Johnston (Murdock Mysteries), Maria Ricossa (Designated Survivor), and Eugene Clark (The Art of More).

Private Eyes airs Thursdays at 8/7c on Global TV. If you need to catch up, all the Season 2 episodes are online now. Here’s a sneak peek of “The P.I. Code.”
