We’re particularly fond of Slasher around here, so we’re thrilled that the second season, Guilty Party, is rolling out on Netflix Tuesday, in its entirety, just in time for Halloween.

We haven’t been able to screen the episodes yet, but this is what we know going in:
Brought together by a horrific secret they’ve long kept buried, a group of former friends must return in the dead of winter to the now-closed summer camp they worked at five years before. Deep in the snow-covered wilderness, the rundown camp has now become a private and isolated “intentional community” cut-off from civilization by weather, wilderness, and choice.
The group’s secretive reason to return causes tension and tempers to flare. Before long, they find themselves gruesomely targeted by someone out for horrific revenge. The location’s isolation starts to wear on relationships and expose surprising secrets, and as the winter weather worsens, so does the killer’s grisly spree. As blood and secrets spill across the vast and snowy wilds surrounding the camp, the mismatched group must try to escape not just the killer’s retribution, but also survive the deadly elements.
I’m 99.9% certain that we’re in for eight episodes of bloody, murderous shenanigans with a side of psychological drama. Yes, please.
Felipe Rodriguez (Kidnap Capital) directs the entire season. Aaron Martin returns to executive produce, divvying the scripts among himself and a group of writers with proven pedigrees in fantastic shows: Amanda Fahey (Saving Hope), Floyd Kane (Continuum), Lucie Pagé (Degrassi: TNG), Naledi Jackson (CTV’s upcoming The Detail), James Hurst (Wynonna Earp), and Jana Sinyor (Being Erica).
Once again, a who’s who of familiar Canadian TV faces and fan favorites populate the cast, including some from Slasher‘s first season: Leslie Hope (24, NCIS, Suits), Paula Brancati (Being Erica, Degrassi: The Next Generation), Lovell Adams-Gray (Lost & Found Music Studios, Dead of Summer), Jim Watson (The Strain, Mary Kills People), Christopher Jacot, Paulino Nunes (Shoot the Messenger, Bitten), Ty Olsson (The 100, Supernatural), Joanne Vannicola, Sebastian Pigott (Rogue, Being Erica), Madison Cheeatow (Heartland, Sadie’s Last Days on Earth), Melinda Shankar (Degrassi: The Next Generation, Filth City), Kaitlyn Leeb (Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments, Heartland), Rebecca Liddiard (Houdini & Doyle, Between), Jefferson Brown, Simu Liu (Kim’s Convenience, Taken), and Dean McDermott.
