Netflix Shares Jessica Jones First Look

MARVEL'S JESSICA JONES Netflix First Look Krysten Ritter Carrie-Anne Moss

Netflix has dropped a fresh batch of (official) Jessica Jones first look shots from the series with just over two months to go until the great Jessica Jones binge-watch of 2015 begins on November 20th.

My favourite photo from the set features my  favourite why-isn’t-she-on-my-screen-more actress Krysten Ritter as the titular Jessica Jones rocking some serious subway side eye. We haven’t even seen episodes yet but I’m feeling confident that this Ms. Jones is my spirit animal.

This photo set also gives us a look at Jessica interacting with other new characters from the series including  Carrie-Anne Moss as Harper and Rachael Taylor in the role of Trish Walker (aka Hellcat). We also get a look at Mike Colter as Luke Cage behind a bar. (Colter will resume his role as Luke Cage as title character of his own Marvel Netflix series in 2016 before being part of the “team up” series, Defenders), and David Tennant as the villainous Purple Man.

After a tragic ending to her short-lived Super Hero stint, Jessica Jones is rebuilding her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases in New York City.

Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones) is joined by an amazing cast including David Tennant (Kilgrave), Mike Colter (Luke Cage), Rachael Taylor (Trish Walker), Carrie-Anne Moss, Eka Darville, Erin Moriarty, and Wil Traval, among others.

Marvel’s Jessica Jones on Netflix is Executive Produced by series Showrunner Melissa Rosenberg (“Twilight”, “Dexter”) and Liz Friedman (“Elementary”), along with Jeph Loeb (“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” “Smallville,” “Heroes”), who also serves as Marvel’s Head of Television.

Hopefully we’ll get a peek at the rest of the cast in action soon. Now who’s ready for to November? I’m looking forward to seeing how Jessica Jones picks up what Daredevil laid down!

Stay tuned to The Televixen for all your Jessica Jones goodness!
