Marvel’s AKA Jessica Jones adds Three to the Cast

Marvel’s AKA Jessica Jones has just cast a trio of supporting players whose journeys will intertwine with Jessica’s. Eka Darville, Erin Moriarty, and Wil Traval will join Krysten Ritter,  Carrie-Anne MossDavid Tennant (Kilgrave), Mike Colter (Luke Cage), and Rachael Taylor (Patricia “Trish” Walker), according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Darville will play Malcolm, a neighbor of Jessica’s whose life will cross with the private detective’s in a surprising way. Moriarty will play Hope, a young girl who becomes a client of Alias Investigations, Jessica’s business. Traval is playing a by-the-book New York Police Department officer.

While Executive Producer Melissa Rosenberg has nothing but praise for these three new cast members, she does note that Erin Moriarty’ Hope is an “important role”. She also notes that Eka’s Malcolm requires nuance and humour. What do you think — any clues?

The upcoming Netflix series, Marvel’s A.K.A. Jessica Jones follows our title character as she works to rebuild her personal and professional life as a detective in New York City after her stint as a superhero is cut short by tragedy. Jessica finds herself pulled into cases involving people with extraordinary abilities.

Stay tuned for the latest in A.K.A. Jessica Jones!
