Jessica Jones’ Super Power Revealed

MARVEL'S JESSICA JONES' Super Power Revealed. Krysten Ritter

Marvel and Netflix have released a new teaser trailer that reveals Jessica Jones’ super power, or at least one of them. This is the first live-action footage we’ve seen of Jones, and although this footage is apparently not in the show, it provides a general feel of what Jessica Jones will be. This is similar to the concept of the release date teaser, although this clip seems to reveal more humour.

Not going to lie, when I saw the bottle of Jack Daniels in the foreground I couldn’t help but think of our girl Kesha and the first frame of her video for Tik Tok. This is a good thing. I’m enjoying the strategy of characterizing Jessica first by developing her personality before diving into her powers and motivations as a hero. Nothing made me love Jessica more than that side-eye Krysten Ritter was rocking in the recently released first look photos.

Jessica Jones Teaser

A glimpse of Jessica’s room — a mess of clothes, pictures, papers, and booze — tells us a lot about her. An alarm set for 3pm can also give us some ideas of what her life is like. Jessica literally destroying the alarm when it goes off, well … that’s relatable and revealing. Mission accomplished, teaser. I’m dying for more Jessica Jones! I love being shown what it’s going to be like, instead of seeing the show before it’s released.

Mini-Synopsis in case you haven’t been following along:
