Jenna Coleman Says Goodbye to Doctor Who

SPOILER ALERT! Do not read any further until you’ve seen tonight’s episode of Doctor Who, “Face the Raven.”

We knew it was coming … we just didn’t know how or when it was going to happen.

Jenna Coleman said goodbye to Doctor Who in tonight’s episode.

For a few minutes, I was in denial. I didn’t expect to happen at least until the end of the season, perhaps even during the Christmas special.

But then this happened …

… and then this …

“Let me be brave.” WOW! Talk about unexpected feels. Goodbye, Clara Oswald. I’ll miss you.

What really got me was this video that BBC America released immediately following the East Coast airing, which features Jenna Coleman reflecting on her time as Clara Oswald and working with Peter Capaldi.

When you tuned in to Doctor Who this evening, did you expect that you’d be watching Jenna Coleman’s last episode as Clara? Or was I the only one that was slightly caught off guard? How do you think The Doctor is going to deal with her loss? And is there someone who you’d love to see as the next companion? Let us know in the comments!
