This season finale sets up so many tasty possibilities for next season. Can’t wait!

I did have a few quibbles after I had time to digest (I was totally immersed during the episode)–like why couldn’t Elena even unbuckle her seat belt or Stefan drag both of them out of the truck? But nothing too serious–I’m just going with it.

Loved the silent underwater “conversation” between Stefan and Elena.
Suffered with Caroline and Damon (heartbreak), and have to give props to Trevino as Klyler as you said. I did go back and watch that scene when he hugs her and tells her she’ll be fine–very cool.

Since you included lyrics, thought I would add that watching the underwater scenes I flashed back on the lyrics of the Florence + the Machine song, “Never Let Me Go” that played during the big Delena scene (with all its underwater imagery). A few snippets of the lyrics:

Why did Jeremy and Matt decide to get Elena out of town when she was perfectly safe at home? She never would have been on that bridge and she never would have died.

Matt would have been a goner if Damon had been there instead of Stefan. There is something very wrong with always doing what someone wants even at the expense of their health, safety, etc. Love doesnt mean always getting your way or there would be a lot more kids eating candy for breakfast.

It will be interesting to see how this creates a rift between the Salvatore’s. Because I can just see Damon going bananas on Stefan and Stefan will let him. I think he will blame himself.

Can someone please get meridith out of that hospital before mystic falls gets even more overrun with vampires?!?

Glad to see Bonnie do what she wants for a change. Hopefully this will be a setup for her to get some kind of story next season.
