Cardinal Preview: Terri

Cardinal Alex Paxton-Beesley

Red gets a name this week on a brand-new episode of CTV’s Cardinal.

[Warning: General spoilers ahead.]

After Cardinal and Delorme chase down surveillance video, they find out that her name is Terri Tait and something in her life made her travel from her home in Vancouver across the country to Algonquin Bay.

That news sends Terri spiraling as bits and pieces of her story come back to her. In a panic, she makes a bad decision for her safety, and Cardinal and Delorme have to find her before Northwind’s second in command, Leon, does. That’s not his only task, as he rapidly escalates things with Lasalle, which makes Kevin increasingly skittish.

Separately, Delorme’s mentee, Rachel, finds herself in her own dangerous predicament when Clegg puts her back in play without regard to the longterm implications. At a dead-end with Delorme, Musgrave keeps digging on Cardinal on his own.

It’s another tense hour that’s balanced by the fact that it’s the halfway point for the season, so you can level set with the hope that at least some of the things will shake out OK, for now. Jeff Renfroe directs a script by Alison Lea Bingeman.

Cardinal airs Thursdays at 9/8c on CTV. Here are a few sneak peeks of “Terri.” Also, in case you missed it earlier this week, Season 1 was nominated for 12 Canadian Screen Awards!
